EDUCATION
A Tax Deductable Donation
A new well constructed Multipurpose Whaling Museum
comprising of many components is on its way to be built
with a massive educational portfolio for schools,
techikons, universities and tourists alike! The core
business is education to create job opportunities. We
can’t wait for this to happen, say the team of Whale
Mark!
INTRODUCTION
|
When we initially started to compile the various
disciplines of the project about a few years ago
we certainly did not expect to expand in so many
educational fields of marine biodiversity.
In
fact, our main core businesses initially was
tourism and though it still is to a large extend
to generate the necessary income for operational
purposes and education, the formation of
education has taken the trump card undeniably as
one of the main tourism attraction outlets in
the Western Cape to show what can be done by
being innovative. |
 |
In this way we can stimulate the mindset of present and
future generations to conserve our marine and flora
heritage as well.
The immense opportunities that linger in educational
circles to do something about this have not taken root
really. Obviously there are many reasons for this. The
one that springs to my mind is the fragmentation and
flagrant denial that marine education plays an important
role in our natural heritage. Totally taken for granted
as yet another literary subject by majority of citizens
whilst a few are dedicated. To this end we developed a
“Project Minke” to highlight various educational
opportunities to stimulate existing and new job
opportunities. Thereby trying to create a fresh new
awareness to conserve and protect what’s leftover in
marine life.
Meetings held with curriculum advisors proved this
point. They are exited and so are we!
INVESTMENT VALUE TO YOU
What you can gain as individual, corporation or
government by sponsoring or donation in kind?
The business gateway for a better future of our children
should be our responsibility collectively by giving and
not taking principle. Providing many job opportunities
to persons who could enjoy the pride of earner ship, by
learning the many courses offered. Applying there earner
ship in a wholesome way, building pride and a profound
need for self worth. Whale Mark knows this and so do you
the investor but the question is when we hold back and
are not totally committed to invest, we create an
emotional blockage within one self which restricts the
natural flow of human potential of our children. Not
fair is it not?
We urgently need your involvement in someone else’s
wants, needs, hurts, and desire to better himself.
OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO INVEST INTO
TSDI - Training Skills Development Institute of Whale
Mark
Comprising of employment equity an integral part of the
recruitment and training challenge for teachers.
Many brand new courses are geared for students to take
up, employment on its own by supplying tourism product
lines in the open market or alternatively to supply
products on consignment to Whale Mark for the national
and international markets.
ADDITIONAL COURSES IN LINE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF
THE TOURISM AND MARINE SCIENCE INDUSTRY
To this end market surveys have been done during the
past 6 years to find the relevant niche to determine the
scope of educational programs for development and
redevelopment. The reason for this was to ensure that no
discrepancy between courses offered and the actual job
market exist. In addition to format additional
educational disciplines which are feasible and viable, a
major new breakthrough which we consider a plus factor
overall for the community at large.

As Whale Mark being a large organization it will also
have its own Information Technology Department. In
almost every field of education and employment
possibilities, the use of computers has infiltrated our
lives. Unfortunately a very large part of the population
does not have the knowledge to operate them in any sense
whatsoever. This limits people to the fields of
employment they can follow.
WHALE MARK IT
Being part of Whale Mark the people in the IT department
are just as committed as the rest of the members to not
only education but to our environment as well. A large
part of the ideas of Whale Mark, are that they will be
technologically based. There will be an online database
that interacts in real time with the exhibits in the
museum itself. This will be done by having touch screen
units standing around the museum that people will be
able to use to browse through the exhibits in the
museum. Ultimately voice tags in different languages
will be available on every exhibit to make it a much
better experience for all the diversity of people that
make up our country. The database will be hosted on our
website as well. This will make it possible for people
who cannot make it to our premises to gain entrance to
the museum exhibits and other information via the
internet.
As the people who will make up the staff of the IT
department we would also like to assist Whale Mark with
its educational endeavors. We will offer courses in
various fields of Information Technology. This to assist
the general public in the use, further operation of and
business based packages.
By enabling people in these fields it will allow them to
deal better with the technological age that we live in,
and open a wealth of other doors to many other fields of
employment.
Navigation systems and much other equipment is also
computer based. A GPS unit ultimately uses computers to
load up the information it uses. Capturing information
for study by people. Booking of airline tickets, email
communication, typing, self study. The list is almost
endless in the ways that IT can assist us.
This opens up a world of assisted study:
|
1. |
Typing |
|
2. |
Basic computer use |
|
3. |
Study in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel,
Outlook (an Email Program), PowerPoint (a slide
