NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF A PRELIMINARY INFORMATION SUPPLIED IN REGARD TO A TENDER
FOR
CONSTRUCTION (Alterations and Additions) OF A MULTIPURPOSE WHALING AND MARINE EXPOSITION MUSEUM IN PAROW CAPE TOWN

SCOPE AND CONTENT OF WORK
The proposed final content of actual work will be advertised once approval has been given by the local authority that all legal requirements of the building plans have been met and approved.
OBJECTIVES
The aim of this document is foremost to advise interested parties in advance of our intentions of formally making tenders available.
In addition, that this construction project will become part of a skills development project to train young people in various disciplines of construction which will include offsite training facilities as well.
PROVISIONAL BILLS OF QUANTITIES
To be finalized by Quantity Surveyors (Bergh Erasmus Quantity Surveyors)
However, we submit the following work to be done as a matter of notifying interested parties what the construction will entail, layout/design and loose furniture for components this project will require to be completed.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS FOR TENDER BUT SUBJECT TO BE AMENDED
NB: The project will entirely focus on education/job creation in all spheres of this project even after completion of this project.
- Construction of three floor building including alterations and additions to existing building.
- Sea-water aquarium equipment including layout and design with furniture
- Existing Life-boat accommodating 60 children refurbished and supply with hydraulics inside project to depict movement of waves.
- Training Fish/sushi Restaurant layout and design with furniture
- Coffee-shop layout and design with furniture
- IT server,computers,printers,scanners for education of students and staff
- Display cabinets aliminium,wood or plastic
- Mosaics designs on floors and walls( Whales, fish and crustaceans)
- Glass fiber whales, fish and other
- Construction of whale skeletons and donated skeletons
- Office and conference facilities furniture
- CCTV as per building plan and surveillance room equipment.
- Sound equipment
- Big screen ( Approximately 4x3 meter )
- Various smaller screens for class rooms and conference facilities
- Uniforms/shoes/hats for tourist guides, generall staff, security and parking attendants.
- Chairs for class rooms and conference facilities
- Furniture for 10 Arts & Crafts workshops in various disciplines
- Curio shop layout with racks and furniture
- Generators
- Solar panels as per plan and furniture
- Wind Turbines as per plan and furniture

- Marine artifacts (Fishing, maritime and whaling gear of any description)
